EMPACS features annotated radiological studies conducted in an emergency department setting, including:

Computed Tomography (CT) Scans
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scans
X-Ray Images
Photographs
Electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG)
Fluoroscopy Images
Ultrasound Images

In addition to the images, information on each case is also provided. These include:

Study Type- a description of the study conducted.
Impression- a diagnosis and summary of the radiologist's report.
Report- the radiologist's report on the images in question.
Gender
Age


Additional Features:

EMPACS allows users to search by modality, body region, gender, age, and keywords.
All cases feature detailed Impressions and Reports for teaching purposes.
Users can easily access multiple studies of the same patient, if available.
Bookmark lists allow registered EMPACS users to save studies of interest.
Users can activate quiz mode to test their diagnostic skills.
Images in CT and MRI studies can be viewed as movie clips.
Select studies contain labeled images for teaching purposes.
Users are free to download radiological images with appropriate reference to EMPACS.org
