Joshua Broder (concept and chief content editor) is a 1995 graduate of Duke
University. He attended Yale Medical School and was chief resident in
the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland. He is currently an
Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery of Duke University Medical School
in Durham, NC.

Abhineet Uppal (programming and design editor) is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. He currently attends the UNC School of Medicine.

David Cline (content editor, abdominal disorders) is a 1978 graduate of the University of Michigan. He attended Wayne State
University School of Medicine, followed by residency in the Department of Emergecny Medicine at the University
of Illinois, Chicago. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Wake Forest
University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Robert Park (content editor, ultrasound) is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City. He attended
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School, followed by residency and ultrasound fellowship
at Alameda County Medical Center-Highland General Hospital in Oakland, C.A. He is currently the Emergency Department
Ultrasound Director at Duke University Medical Center. His interests include ultrasound-guided procedures in vascular
access, biomedical device concepts and development, and physician education.
Daniel Broder (encryption and parsing engineer) is a 1998 graduate of
Yale University. He has played key roles in development of hit games
including MechAssault and MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf. He is currently a
software engineer at Day 1 Studios in Sparks, Maryland.
Anita L'Italien (content editor, ultrasound) is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson. She attended the University of Arizona School
of Medicine followed by residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently an attending
physician with Wake Emergency Physicians at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Michelle Lin (content editor, orthopedics) is a 1998 graduate from Stanford University School of Medicine and a 2001 graduate from the Harbor-UCLA
Emergency Medicine residency program. Currently the Medical Education Director for San Francisco General Hospital's
Division of Emergency Services, she will be the Associate Residency Director for the upcoming University of
California San Francisco-San Francisco General Hospital (UCSF-SFGH) EM residency program.
David Manthey (content editor, medical student curriculum) is a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia School
of Medicine and a 1995 graduate of the Joint Military Medical Centers residency program in San Antonio, Texas.
From 2003 to 2005, he chaired the National Task Force on 4th Year Medical Student Curriculum. Currently he is the
Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and an Associate Professor at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical
Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Robert Rogers (content editor, vascular emergencies) is a 1997 graduate of
The University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and a 2002 graduate of the combined Emergency Medicine/Internal
Medicine residency program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Emergency Medicine and Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is currently the Director
of Undergraduate Medical Education and Director of the Academic Development/Teaching Elective. In addition, he is
the track coordinator for the visual diagnosis educational track.
Alex Limkakeng (contributing editor) is a 1997 graduate of the Johns Hopkins
University. He attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and completed Emergency Medicine
residency training at Cook County Hospital. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the
Emergency Medicine Division of the Department of Surgery at the Duke University Medical School in Durham, NC.
Ryan Martiniuk (imaging editor) is pursuing a B.S. in Biology at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He is interested in medical imaging and plans on persuing a career in medicine.
